The design of the PRX 40 is based on a revolutionary design from 1978 with an integrated case and bracelet. The combination of an integrated bracelet and the then new quartz movement made it possible to develop a watch with a thin, flat case.
Today's PRX is a reinterpretation of the historic model with modern design touches such as a rounded, polished bezel that forms a perfect circle at the heart of the watch. The integrated case-bracelet design has no lugs, but a straight case edge that merges seamlessly into the first link of the band. This bracelet falls beautifully around the wrist and is very comfortable and flattering. The watch also feels and looks narrow. This effect is enhanced by the hands being closer to each other and the top glass.
In addition to quartz watches, the PRX collection also includes automatic watches with a Powermatic 80 movement. This movement contains the Nivachron balance spring which guarantees excellent anti-magnetic performance. This gives the PRX Powermatic 80 a power reserve of up to 80 hours.
Tissot PRX watches are available in three different sizes for men and women and different colours with a choice of traditional steel, leather and silicone straps.
In addition to the classic PRX watch made of stainless steel, Tissot has added models with satin-finished steel cases and solid 18 carat solid rose gold bezels.
A special addition to the PRX series is the exclusive model with Tiffany Blue dial.
