Watch trends spring/summer 2023

Posted 1 March 2023 by Miriam Reading time approximately 3 minutes

Every year in February, the international Inhorgenta watch and jewelery fair takes place in Munich. A great place to discover new brands and the latest watch trends. We went to the fair and came back with lots of inspiration and new watches. Do you want to know which watch trends we have spotted for the spring and summer of 2023?

The watch trend for 2023: duck egg blue

The watch trend colour that we encountered everywhere at the fair was a soft shade of blue that is also known as duck egg blue or Tiffany blue. From the event lanyard to the classic Meistersinger one-hand watches.

Popular watches

It is not surprising that various brands have released duck egg blue versions of their most popular watches. For example, Tissot has had a Tiffany blue variant of the popular PRX in its collection for some time now.

One of the new colour variants of Citizen's incredibly popular Tsuyosa watches is of course also duck egg blue. This watch is only available in very limited numbers and we are one of the lucky watch shops that are allowed to sell this very beautiful watch. Would you like to be informed when the NJ0151-88M has arrived at our warehouse? Put the watch on your wish list and we will send you a notification

Watch dials in all kinds of bright colours

In addition to the ubiquitous colour blue, it was noticeable that most watch brands have added a lot of colour to their collections anyway. And especially striking colours: red, green, yellow orange. You immediately get the feeling Summer is coming!

Men's watch trends: in 2023 the size will be (even) smaller

The last few years we have already seen a decline in the popularity of extremely oversized watches. But the average size of men's watches (which was roughly between 40-45 mm) is also moving back to the sizes that were more common in earlier decades. We now see more men's watches in sizes 38 and 39 millimeters and sometimes even 36 mm. Perhaps under the influence of the still ongoing retro trend.

Many brands reissue successful watches from their own history or make new reinterpretations. Like, for example, the new version of the Bulova Accutron, or the stylish Seiko Presage watches inspired by originals from the nineteensixties.

Women's watch trends: in 2023 we see retro, gemstones and colour

We also see a lot of retro and vintage style watches in women's watches. Another striking trend in women's watches is the use of natural materials such as (precious) stone for the dial. This gives the watches a warm and luxurious look. And of course there are also many ladies watches with a duck egg blue dial available in the latest collections.

What else can you expect from Horloge.nl in 2023?

Of course we did not only spot trends at the Inhorgenta, but we also made contacts with new brands and updated the collections of the brands we already carry. So you will soon find the latest watch collections at Watch.co.uk.

I can't tell you much about what we're planning next, but I can tell you that you should definitely keep an eye on the Luminox brand in the coming months, because they have entered into a collaboration with a very well-known artist!
