Watch trends fall/winter 2024
Posted 3 October 2024 by Miriam Reading time approximately 3 minutesWhat are the watch trends for autumn and winter 2024-2025? Watch.co.uk's purchasing colleagues went to the autumn fair and reported. They saw many warm, dark colours, beautifully crafted dials and stylish retro watches for both women and men.
Men's watches: dark blue and gray tones
Autumn has really started. Temperatures are dropping, the trees change colour and the summer blue sky turns into fifty shades of grey. It seems to be the source of inspiration for the latest watch collections. Because in them we see a lot of black, gray and blue in all shades.
For example, the Casio Vintage AQ-230EGG-2AEF and AQ-800EB-2AEF; an attractive combination of warm dark grey and royal blue. A slate gray variant has been added to Orient's well-known Bambino series and we also spotted a sporty Navy blue watch in the Hamilton Khaki Field family.
And the colour brown is back!
Another element from the seventies that we see in the new watch collections are the colours olive green and brown. They are totally back in fashion! For example, Casio has added the colour brown to their bestseller series of MTP watches and Danish Design has supplemented the Pico family with a brown variant. Chocolicious!
Olive green is a colour that we find mostly in new outdoor and military style watches, but most fashionable brands have also included a green watch in their autumn/winter collection.
For ladies: rectangular watches and warm natural colours
This season we also see many warm colours such as burgundy red and earth tones among women's watches. For example, several watches from the popular brand Cluse have a dark red or brown dial that is completely in sync with this season's fashion trends.
For women, another trend is the rise of sophisticated rectangular watches. Often classic, such as Frederique Constant and Balmain, but also modern and minimalist at Cluse or richly decorated with crystals at Seiko.
Textured dials
And last but not least, a trend that we saw emerge earlier this year and that is now expanding; Watches with a special texture in the dial. Seiko's Cocktail Time series, for example, has been expanded with an Espresso Martini color variant with the typical guilloche pattern in the dial. The Citizen NJ0180-80x has a dial with a subtle stone-like structure that fits perfectly with the cool gray color of the case and the green of the dial. And the dials of the new Festina Swiss Made open heart watches have a meridian pattern.
