What is an Open Heart watch?
An Open Heart watch - also called skeleton watch - is an automatic watch in which cutouts are made in the dial so the movement is visible in operation. Usually the back of the watch is also transparent.
The Hamilton Jazzmaster Open Heart contains an H10 movement. This is a Swiss automatic movement specially manufactured for Hamilton by ETA with a power reserve of up to 80 hours. The movement is nicely worked, and the rotor (which "winds" the automatic movement) contains a recessed H-shape.
