The new Manufacture Classic Date remains true to traditional fine watchmaking with a modern approach. It does so by adopting a different stylistic and technical approach to that of its predecessors. The new model is all about refinement, starting with a slimmed-down case diameter of 40mm instead of the 42mm of earlier models in this collection. When creating a new Manufacture timepiece at Frederique Constant, designer and engineer work hand in hand. The designer in charge of shaping the exterior of the watch, the engineer creating the movement. The Classic Date Manufacture contains the new developed FC-706 calibre with a 72-hour power reserve and an impressive five-year warranty. The watch face is free from clutter; Slim hour markers and a ‘railtrack’ minute circle encompass the sunburst dial which includes a small date dial at six o’clock. The smaller size actually makes the dial look relatively bigger and more open than before, while the sunburst finish gives it a gentle, elegant gleam.
