Free bracelet adjustment service

Watches with metal bracelets will often need adjusting to fit the size of your wrist. If you specify your wrist size when ordering your watch, we will gladly adjust the bracelet for you free of charge before sending the watch to you.

What is the standard bracelet length for my watch?

You can find the minimum and maximum bracelet length under the Specifications tab on the product page.

How to measure your wrist

You can measure your wrist size with a piece of string which you then measure against a ruler. Allow about half a centimetre (1/4 inch) of slack to prevent the bracelet from being too tight. Click here for detailed instructions on how to measure your wrist.
 
If you need an extension adding onto the original bracelet, we will then have to order extra links from the manufacturer. Additional links may incur a charge. We will contact you to inform you of any possible delays or additional costs. 

The bracelet adjustment procedure

Just choose your wrist size from the drop-down menu on the product detail page and we will make sure that the watch bracelet is adjusted accordingly before being sent back to you.  We will also include the leftover links with the watch.

Terms and conditions 

Watches with link bracelets shortened by HWG can be easily exchanged or returned. In most cases, the size will be properly adjusted, but the bracelet may need further adjustment by a local jeweler or watchmaker. Please note that our bracelet shortening service is a complimentary extra service. If you choose to return the product after the adjustment, a surcharge of 5 euros will be deducted from the refund amount. We do not offer compensation if the bracelet is not correctly shortened. We strongly advise against shortening link bracelets yourself. Watches with link bracelets shortened incorrectly or with the wrong tools cannot be exchanged or returned.
